Dekimo Gent
Back in 1987, Dekimo was founded as a spin-off company of the Gent University. Apparently there was a commercial interest in the invertors they developed, albeit in other domains than the solar energy which was already at that time a genuine target.
Dekimo Gent
Back in 1987, Dekimo was founded as a spin-off company of the Gent University. Apparently there was a commercial interest in the invertors they developed, albeit in other domains than the solar energy which was already at that time a genuine target.
The location was and remained Gentbrugge, a suburb of Gent. During the first 20 years, Dekimo established a steady state organic growth, while being profitable year after year, in spite of several crises that struck our economy. During the following 10 years, the growth was enhanced by acquisitions and new startups, leading to the current Dekimo Group with several development and consultancy entities, a manufacturing plant and a test lab.
The first activities were focused on analog power electronics, but were quite soon expanded with more generic analog electronics, digital electronics, embedded software and software for PC, servers and mobile devices. Dekimo understood very well the need to have resources on board that have expertise in the ever expanding disciplines of the world of electronics and still invests in attracting the right resources for offering successful projects to its customers. The numerous acquisitions have increased the field of activities with expertise in lay-out services, mechatronics, production, testing and on-site consultancy.
